Somewhere I saw it doing jpg files and crashing. But the crash logs are huge, I don't know how to locate the filenames if they are there.
I guess jpegs ought to be supported, they are hardly exotic.
Maybe take a closer look at one of the core dumps, to maybe see if a filename can be found ?
I have obtained
coredumpctl info PID
for every PID in the coredump list. That is 120 MB in 8383 files.
I tried to automate:
coredumpctl gdb 17114 > p
but it halts expecting some input. Can't generate them.
Tried -batch, no good:
cer@Telcontar:~/tmp/coredump/core_info> coredumpctl gdb -batch 17114
p coredumpctl: invalid option -- 'b' cer@Telcontar:~/tmp/coredump/core_info> coredumpctl gdb --batch 17114 p coredumpctl: unrecognized option '--batch' cer@Telcontar:~/tmp/coredump/core_info>
What were you trying to do? Best to read the man page before trying random options!
--batch is in the gdb manual. The normal line is: coredumpctl gdb 17114 which works but requires user input.
Perhaps:
coredumpctl -o p gdb 17114
maybe?
No, requires user input, can't be automated. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
