Michael, I am curious as to why it's in his /etc and not in /proc? laters,
Whatever you do, do not open or delete it.
It is the core of the running os, and not a core dump.

Hi all
I just discovered a file on my system, /etc/kcore:
-r-------- 1 root root 67112960 jan 15 10:41 kcore
What the hell this file is and why is it that big?
