I assume in your original post you were wondering why it didn't appear that the modules were loading. If you want to see a list of loaded kernel modules you need to do an 'lsmod' as root. this will list all installed kernel modules (the name of the module will be on the left) along with other information... Here's a clip from mine:
eeprom 3476 0 i2c-proc 6992 0 [eeprom] i2c-piix4 3820 0 (unused) i2c-core 14468 0 [eeprom i2c-proc i2c-piix4]
those are the 'sensors' modules my machine uses. The first number is the size and the second number is how many times it's being 'used' by the system (I'm not exactly sure that's what it means, someone care to expound?). If it's in the list it has been 'loaded' by the system. I hope that helps answer part of what you're looking for.

Here are the results of trying to modprobe.
Please don't use attachments on the list!
I use 8.1, and I have the module you want here:
/lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/kernel/drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-sis5595.o /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/kernel/drivers/i2c/chips/sis5595.o
and not in /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/drivers/sensors/sis5595.o as your error message specifies.

Hello, I to have in /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/kernel/drivers/i2c no busses or chips file only object codes.
What happens when you do : locate sis5595.o?
I will not send attachments unless asked for.
I meant people on this list do send their configuration files and the like , but they include the information in the body of the message, not as an attachment.

If I do locate sis5595.o the return is locate: command not found If I do ls sis5595.o the return is No such file or directory.
I have solved most of the problem. turns I needed it87 as my mobo uses sis950 sensor chip. Ended with modprobe i2c-isa modprobe it87 temp_type=0x87 sensors-s sensors Still a few problems as I do not seem to be able to get it to restart on boot and gkrellm does not show any voltages.
