I'm not French.
French is sometimes used not only for those native to France, but for anyone from Canada, especially if from Quebec, whose native or primary language is French, by the Heinz57 south of 49N (notwithstanding enclaves). Isn't France a Republic?
So is the USA, though I think few living in it know so any more.
What's with this myth that republicans are conservative? Everywhere except the USA republicans are revolutionaries! They are the people that overthrew the 'Ancien Régime'.
