So, and now, are we supposed to magically derive and/or see the contents of your /boot/grub/menu.lst, /boot/grub/device.map, /etc/grub.conf and the output of 'df -h'? Without at least _some_ info from those, namely the stuff concerning "your" kernel, no one can even start to guess what goes wrong. You might want to move to discworld. There, magic and precognition and stuff like that does work.
