As for a log viewer - I don't have a need myself, but I feel certain there are tools out there that will let you filter adhoc, colourise lines etc. Not a text-processor like *office,
I did not suggest to use a text processor, but a database or a table processor.
I thought you mentioned *office, that's a text-processor in my book. It's basically not meant for handling tens of thousands of lines.
Hmm, I have just changed to storage=none on a test system, and syslog-ng does indeed not work. Interesting, I wonder why that is. Well, not a real problem, we use the default journal setup anyway.
And Andrei said that it does not work for him on TW with rsyslog. want to know if this is a change somewhere that makes my trick impossible, or some config error that can be solved.
