You don't have a queue "lp".

Dear Mr. Meixner,
Thank you very much.
To reproduce it try to print with echo hello | lp -d doesnotexist
______________
The result I get is :-
"lp: unable to print file:client-error-not-found"
and in /var/log/cups/error_log the matching message is shown:-
"print_job: resource name '/printers/doesnotexist' no good!"
Use lpstat -p to list which queues you actually have.

My output is :- "printer lp0 is idle"

So . . . the problem is that I have no print queue lp ? . . . how & where may I correct this, please?
Thanks a Ton

Why not just use the name of the printer (lp0) in the commands we've been telling you to use. It is not necessary to change the name of the printer.
