<snip> In SuSE, enable "SWAT". This enables Samba to be managed using SWAT. Once SWAT is running, pint the browser to http://localhost:601 or http://localhost:601. I cannot remember which one at the moment. Under the passwords tab, setup the XP users with same user id and password as in windows. Using YAST2, set the users in Linux as well. Restart Samba and hopefully the XP users should have access. For a good guide to using Samba, there is a free book available on O'Reilly's site called "Using Samba". Although this book can be purchased, it is avable for free on the internet. Point your browser to http://www.oreilly.com/openbook/. There are other Linux books available as well if anyone is interested. The other books are listed below in case anyone is interested. a.. DocBook: The Definitive Guide a..
