I'm using mutt and when sending mail, i understand it uses the suse default sendmail function. The problem i've got is that, because i have a dynamic ip i presume, some servers won't accept messages from me.
Therefore, i want to relay the mail through another smtp server, say my isp. I have been looking on google and through the list archive but haven't yet come across any information that has helped me.
edit /etc/postfix/main.cf and set: relayhost = [desired.smtp.server] mine works with: relayhost = [smtp-server.indy.rr.com] note: besure to restart postfix after changing main.cf -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
