Ok, here goes:
I'm trying to get an old Pentium 75 to run as a dual- NIC firewall. Stupid me, I should know better than to screw with something that's working, right?
Anyway, I have an eepro100 NIC, which works fine.
The problem is that I can't get the damned SMC Ultra NIC to initialize, dammit! I KNOW that it works with the eepro100 in the box, too. The only thing that is different is the software (7.0 -> 7.1 rebuild)
I try to set teh IO to 0x200 or 0x300 and try to modprobe it, but I get back "resouce busy"
AURGH! Anyone have a suggestion on what I'm missing? (other than a better NIC, that is...)
