I'd report this as a bug, except for two reasons: 1) Its not consistent 2) I can't pin it down and set the conditions to reproduce or not it at will Sometimes when I boot & log into KDE4 all the applets are frozen. Sometimes they are not but freeze later on. Sometimes they don't freeze all day The analog clock doesn't "tick" - the second hand doesn't move. None of the applets on the panel respond Well, not when I click on them. They do some time later and surprise me, but then "don't respond". And then a few minutes later the do and surprise me. Meanwhile, all the applications are running OK. I'm running openSUSE 11.1 kernel 2.6.27.7-9-default, though it happens with -pae as well, ATI X300 with fglrx driver (how do I tell which version?), kde4-kwin-4.2.0-197.2, kdelibs4-4.2.0-97.1, kdebase4-4.2.0-70.9, kde4-plasma-addons-4.2.0-55.5, plasma-theme-aya-4.2.0-27.8 All from the current factory. I update daily but this has persisted for over a week. I can tab between applications and they all run well. I can start applications from an xterm and they start fast and run well. All while the applets are waiting to respond. I'm at a loss as to how to track this problem down and feel like a fool trying to do a bug report with no indication of cause. -- There are still places where people think that the function of the media is to supply information -- Donn Rottenburg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
