... ok, it looks like your dial-up modem is on-board high-speed 56K win-modem... the unit probably uses the AMD chipset... not much help. The win-modem in my IBM ThinkPad does not work either... and I don't care... because the broad band wireless works great... I use my ThinkPad from the university and from coffee shops, the public library, etc... connected from home.... etc. If you ~really need to dial-out on that machine then you will probably want to look into purchasing a USB modem.
