Hi all
I hope somebody can help me. I upgraded to SUSE 9.0 not without a lot of problems, but the main thing is I lost my ( Internet) network card connection. Orinoco -pci, Netgear Ma311. The card is detected by Yast ,Eth0, automatic address setup via DHCP, Then the hostname and domain name. Should the hostname be the IP address from my ISP? and what should the domain name be? Or are there other things I should check or do?
The default gateway comes up as 192.168.1.200. I'm back on the slowest dialup you can think of and the connection cuts of on random (six times in the last 8 minutes). I lost a number of emails as well because I know it was asked before on the list ( I think). -- Greetings from

The hostname is the name of your computer and the domain can be any thing you want that is not registered as you will only be using them locally anyway. If the default gateway points to a local broadband router, based on the address assigned by dhcp, that should be good. Also check you /etc/resolv.conf file to make sure that it the dns from your provider, or your own if you run DNS locally.
