but another valgrind file mentions "file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/08/DSC_6196.JPG" which has 13 megs and was created by my camera.
since tracker appears to be bewildered by jpg/JPG files, why not disable the indexing of jpg/JPG files and see if the coredumps cease?
Sure, but then the issue can not be investigated. I can also remove and lock out the package. On 15.1 I had the issue, then did something to kill it permanently which I have forgotten (same with 15.0, I think). When I upgraded to 15.2, the issue has come back. What I do is "killall tracker-store tracker-miner-fs tracker-extracter" which works till I login again. This is acceptable while there are people interested in finding out what is going on.
note: as I am currently under censorship and my posts suffer great time delays, I have copied to you personally.
No need to mention it :-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
