My real concern is for drives that don't have an entry in stab.
Not only systemd, but also yast partitioner and gparted can be a concern. Using I don't remember which one, I had all my partitions mounted, even those I did not wish because I was doing things to them. And I don't remember now what was in fstab that moment.
For my day job, on occasion I _need_ to be able to connect random USB drives (thumbs/rotating/ssd) and never have them automount.
I do this today by being in "init 3" state before connecting the drives. Is systemd changing this?
I'm unsure. However, I wonder if apparmour could be used to block anything any kind of access to a particular hard disk device. And of course, allow it for your apps. If this is possible, you could then use graphical mode, too :-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
