For those of you who have upgraded your kernel to 2.6.x, what would be the most straightforward way to do this. I've seen several methods in the mailing list and was wonder which would be the best (subjective, I know). I was considering using apt to do this. If so, would I just apt-get a 2.6.x kernel (from where...kraxel?) and then run "mkinit_rd"? I am using grub so I assume that should be it (no lilo configuration). Or should I download from kernel.org (or similar) and compile myself (someone posted a resource for this the other day on the list). Just wondering if anyone has gone this route with SUSE 9.0. I compiled on gentoo back in the day, but it's been a while, and I understand things have changed a little bit with the new 2.6 kernel. Thanks again for input. -Trey -- Trey Sizemore trey@fastmail.fm
