Carlos, I had a similar problem until some kind soul told me to use the KDE Printing Manager to set up CUPs. First I removed the printer icon e.g., lp, then, by clicking on the cute little thingie in the upper left corner, started the Add Printer Wizard, and added my printer. That solved all my printing problems, maybe it will help yours. Yes, Yast should do all that for you but ??????/
That part is solved, now I can configure the printer. But the problem remains: print output is horrible: . And it worked well in suse 7.3 with the same hardware... In short: Photograps get so litle ink that are invisible (openoffice, abiword). Gimp prints junk. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
