The problem is that you are using ipop3d switch to qpopper and it will go away. The newest version of UW imap and pop3 will not take plaintext passwords. At least in the rpm version in 8.2 you can still use UW software but you will have to recompile from source to use them I think. If anyone has gotten UW imap to accept plaintext passwords without recompiling let me know. I upgraded to 8.2 and now the pop3 server does not work. I made sure that it was turned on in the inetd.conf file. I even tried to use xined and got the same result. Here is the error message that Evolution gives me. Unable to connect to POP server 192.168.1.200 Error sending password -ERR Unknown AUTHORIZATION state command. Anyone have an idea to get this working??? I would like to continue to use imapd but it looks like the IMAP issues have hit the POP3 side too! :( -- Marshall "Nothing is impossible, we just do not have all the anwsers to make the impossible, possible." -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
