I remember when I needed a program to say I was away. I looked at vacation and, yes, the version I used didn't have the feature... I used an in-house program written by a very smart unix admin at Liverpool Uni. What I needed wasn't as advanced as what Kaare needed, but as soon as I saw vacation, my brain said Vacation. As the maintainer of Vacation, I can say that Vacation *currently* does not do what he wants but this sort of thing is on the cards. Sean On Thu, 13 Apr 2000, Kevin Jackson wrote:
Does vacation work? There is a program which allows you to set a message up that automatically replies to any incoming messages. If its not on the SuSE disks, have a look on freshmeat.net for vacation.

Hi
I have some users on a qmail mail system. It works very well, but some have requested a facility to make an auto-reply function for whenever they are on vacation.
Does anybody know a solution for this, taking into account that the user should be able to update the reply and dates (and they are only mail users, not shell users) and that it preferably should run with virtual mail uders ?
Thanks in advance.
