I'm setting up a web/data server at my company site using SUSE 10.1. Thinking I'd be cool and ultra geeky, I setup the system wihout KDE or GNOME.
In going through YAST (text mode) I realized I needed a few packages. I went to install them. When asking for the discs, however, I was told to insert 10.0 discs. I verified that the system was 10.1.
On an unrelated note, I'm behind a corporate firewall. I typically get out to the internet using my proxy account. This usually comes up when I launch Opera or any other browser. How do I get it to request my username/password if I'm not using a browser?

YaST, Network Services, Proxy will set it system wide for programs that know to look for it. If you use text based browsers like links or lynx then you need to set those manually in each program.
