Hi,
I installed 10.0 from the Ga. Tech mirror this weekend. Before I did, I backed up all my data, including the .mozilla and .thunderbird home files. The firefox version at that time was 1.0.7.
I then installed 10.0.
I then put the home files into my home directory.
I then installed firefox 1.5 using YAST
At first, at startup, it gave the out-of-date extension messages as other have found, but I had no trouble taking care of that. Firefox and Thunderbird picked up my bookmarks, addresses, and preferences without a hitch.
But now, every time I start Firefox it starts with 3 messages saying it can't initialize the browser's security component. It suggests that there's a problem with my browser's profile directory. There's no directory named "profile" in my home environment directories
It is looking for the .mozilla/default directory which -is- a profile directory where profile information is stored. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
