My needs are fairly modest re. my cheap 'n' cheerful Fuji FinePix 1300 digital camera. Images can be accessed via the USB port... e.g. I can do things like: mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /camera (where /camera exists already) Now I'd (maybe) like to put an entry into /etc/fstab like: /dev/sda1 /camera rw,auto, user, exec 0 0 But the problem seems to be when nothing is connected and/or powered up at boot time, SuSE is (naturally?) not happy with this line. When I *do* power up the camera during a session, SuSE then appends it's own line as: /dev/sda1 /media/sda1 auto noauto, user, exec 0 0 #HOTPLUG B3Fu.DpqVjiHbEi5 which presumably allows me to access the camera as above. My question is: CAN access be automated via /etc/fstab file with such a VERY removable device? Chris
