Problem: Locate does not exist (I was using Bash). Should it have been installed when I installed SuSE 8.0 or do I need to track it down and load it? Thanks! doc
In order to watch a Real Player trailer, you will first need to put the correct plugin in the /opt/mozilla/plugins directory. For RealMedia files, you will need rpnp.so. I am honestly not sure if this is a plugin that comes as part of the Netscape plugins package on the SuSE8 cd, or if you will first need to install Real Player. An easy way to find this on your system is to type "locate rpnp.so". If this does not turn it up, then install Real Player. After Real Player is installed, all you need to do is type "cp /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/rpnp.so /opt/mozilla/plugins", and that should do it. Then start moz, and add the correct mime types, which will be audio/x-pn-realaudio, and video/x-pn-realvideo, and specify that they be handled by /opt/mozilla/plugins/rpnp.so. Don't forget to specify the file extension, which is rm.
I would really suggest that you upgrade to Mozilla 1.0. It is definitely worth the couple of minutes to download and install it.
