moving on.... having read the FAQ on suse.de/en, I have added 'load
glx.so' into my xf86config - I now have the following problems..
quake2 - any changes to the set up, spawns another copy and kills the
system, sometimes I can switch to a console and kill the process, other
times not, all I want to do is run at 800x600 rathe than 640x480
UT - starts up but switches to the whole screen and eventually locks up
till... getting there !

I'm confused........................
I've inherited this from a friend and intend to use it to replace my 8M
ATI card, with the intention of improving my Quake and being able to
play Unreal Tournament.
What am I looking at, should it use the _SVGA server ? and if so, at
what settings, I appreciate that it is not (?) 3DFX as such and I may
have to use OpenGL/Glide - is this so ? - whats the difference ?
Has anybody got this card up and running to its full capability - at
the moment I can only run Quake2 as software X11 and UT bombs out
saying that it couldn't set video mode : Couldn't find matching GLX
visual.
Apologies in advance for being stupid...
Pete
