I have a vfat hd which I share between SuSE and my XP seconadary boot. I want it to be available to one of my users without having to use root. Is this possible?
the /etc/fstab line is:
/dev/hdb1 /fido vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/hda7 /windows/F vfat auto,users,rw,umask=0 0 0 0 0
This is what I have in my /etc/fstab, and it gives me read write access to the vfat drive(s) there. "defaults" did not work for me.
Thanks, that did the trick Sean -- Sean Rima ICQ: 679813 AIM: tcobone Jabber.org: thecivvie Vodafone: +353879120530
