Although nouveau driver works OK in graphical mode (apart from the incorrect default resolutions setup) at boot an in virtual terminals (vt 1-7) only the left upper corns of the display is used. It looks like that the screen is scaled down2 times both vertically and horizontally and pushed into the left upper prt of the display. (The letters are smaller as well.)
Is there a fix/workaround for this?
Probably. Pastebin (do not attach a file with a name that ends in .log - browsers will not open it without excess work) an Xorg.0.log that uses NOUVEAU (assuming you did not reinstall NVidia proprietary driver) so we can see what is happening now. The old one from using NV is no help. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Proverbs 16:21 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg.
