I'm having a problem with my Galeon browser. Thanks Jerome
Hi all,
I have seen this problem too. I got it working again with following tricks:
-close galeon (and mozilla) -remove /opt/mozilla/components/compreg.dat (may have to be root) -start mozilla, mozilla creates new file /opt/mozilla/components/compreg.dat -check that mozilla works -close mozilla -change permissions of /opt/mozilla/components/compreg.dat to read only (-r--r--r-) -start galeon to see if it works
This helped me over 'multiple windows' problem with galeon. Hope that it helps someone else too.
Jari
It has helped me! In this instance when I started mozilla it did not produce a new compreg.dat file. It doesn't seem to matter. Galeon is back to normal. Thank you Jari, Jerome
