Unfortunately fancontrol errors out, seemingly failing to read most of the configuration:
More googling got me a seemingly working config: == INTERVAL=10 DEVPATH=hwmon1=devices/platform/nct6775.656 DEVNAME=hwmon1=nct6776 FCTEMPS=hwmon1/pwm2=hwmon1/temp2_input FCFANS=hwmon1/pwm2=hwmon1/fan2_input MINTEMP=hwmon1/pwm2=48 MAXTEMP=hwmon1/pwm2=55 MINSTART=hwmon1/pwm2=60 MINSTOP=hwmon1/pwm2=30 MINPWM=hwmon1/pwm2=30 MAXPWM=hwmon1/pwm2=255 == And then # systemctl enable fancontrol.service ln -s '/usr/lib/systemd/system/fancontrol.service' '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/fancontrol.service' # systemctl start fancontrol.service and my CPU fan went to the minimum speed. Is this config correct? I just don't want things to blow up in my face. And I would still love to be able to stop the fan completely if possible. -- Yours, Mikhail Ramendik Unless explicitly stated, all opinions in my mail are my own and do not reflect the views of any organization -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
