Here are a few annoying/inhibiting problems I have encountered in YaST2 with SuSE 10.1. It was installed from the retail set on a Dell Dimension (Pentium III). 1) The Import/Export features in Software Management, that have been in many previous versions, have disappeared. Actually, the first time I opened the application, they were there (with the default 'Search' option). But I wasn't ready to use them. I shifted to 'Packages' and 'All'. When I went to do the Import, both Import & Export were no longer listed. They have not been back since. These are very helpful features if one wishes to reinstall the system to its previous configuration, or to upgrade to new OS versions. 2) Several windows (e.g., Online Update, Software Managements, and many more) open up full screen and cannot be resized or moved. Clicking 'Maximize' (to try to turn it off) does not work. I found that I could go through a few layers of configuration options to gain control. But what I set up does not hold for the next time I use the application. Are there any (permanent) workarounds? Can the defaults as in previous versions be restored?
