on Sat, 06 Sep 2003 16:04:11 +0100 Hi,
I've updated my SuSE 8.2 system on a Toshiba Satellite S5200-701 and I lost the key "<". All the other keys are ok just this one doesn't work.
Does anyone knows something about this ?
Regards
EJ
Hi, Ernesto. I assume your problem is that the "<" key gives you ">" by mistake? If yes, here's how to fix that problem.
Click "KDE control center" Click "Regional and Access" Click "keyboard layout" Click "layout" tab Click "enable keyboard options" box Click "keyboard model"
Then you need to try various seletions to find one that correctly uses the < and > keys. For my PC I selected: "Generic 104 key PC"
Once you find the keyboard that gives you the correct key function then,
Click "primary language" and select (In my case I chose "US English").
That should do it. The key is finding the correct keyboard for your Toshiba.
Good luck. :o) Gil
