You need to run gnome-session which will kick off the window manager (by default Sawfish (comes with helix-gnome), but you can choose from within gnome) for you. I've kept the kde login manager and so I added the script: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 30 Jun 1 09:06 /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome* Which is: #!/bin/sh exec gnome-session I then just have a 'gnome' entry in the kdm configuration (configured from within KDE). I've not tried the gdm login manager. Jamie On Sat, 3 Jun 2000, Avi Schwartz wrote:
Hi,
I downloaded and installed Helix Gnome on my SuSE 6.3 machine, but I have no clue how to start it. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Avi
