Hi all, I am new to Suse and have 9.0 installed. I have a functioning cups server on another pc called localserv1 at 192.168.14.140. If I startup up mozilla to http://localhost:631, the printer is seen. If I startup up Yast2 and to to Printer setup I see that I am set up as client only and the following is reported: CUPS Client-Only Configuration: using server localserv1 I go into "change" and test remote IPP access. This reports back okay. The server's default queue is selected. Now if I go into KDE Control Panel - printers in the lower right corner is Print system currently used: CUPS (Common Unix Print System) Connected to 192.168.14.140:631 If I now go into the Add Printer Wizard, all the Backend Selection options are grayed out allowing me to install NO printer. I also have xpp installed. Does anyone have any idea what is set wrong? I had this working well with RH 9 and via Samba this print server servers several other PCs in the house.
