So it seems that maybe your problems are caused by some library you have installed that is borked or not compatible with tracker?
Maybe a poorly written library for some obscure/exotic file-format ? if you can think of any, might be worth omitting them from tracker.
Somewhere I saw it doing jpg files and crashing. But the crash logs are huge, I don't know how to locate the filenames if they are there.
I guess jpegs ought to be supported, they are hardly exotic.
I know.
Maybe take a closer look at one of the core dumps, to maybe see if a filename can be found ?
That's what I did, first post in the thread.
That was a back trace, yes - a filename I would suspect to find as argument to a function.
To examine the lot I would need some automation that I don't know how to do.
There is probably not much need. If you're lucky, you'll see that it keeps aborting on files called .klop99 (just an example) and you can hopefully just exclude those in a config somewhere. I see some mention of tiff files in the first backtrace - maybe try excluding those. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-0.3°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland.
