After upgrading from 9.2 to 9.3, I noticed that doing /sbin/scpm switch <profile name> starting asking me whether I wanted to save changes to the profile when I knew that there hadn't been any changes. I also noticed that the configurations for the profile that I was switching into wouldn't be correct. I looked into the SCPM database and see that, for example, it has /var/lib/scpm/profiles/home/file/_etc_sysconfig_network_ifcfg-wlan0.1 as one of the files for the network resource group for my home profile. Looking in /var/lib/scpm/profiles/home/file, I see that _etc_sysconfig_network_ifcfg-wlan0 is the file that I want to have used and _etc_sysconfig_network_ifcfg-wlan0.1, dated-stamped May 1 (the last time that I switched out of this profile prior to the upgrade). I have tried doing /sbin/scpm save to save the correct configuration information, but it hasn't worked. I'm wondering whether: 1) there is a way to reinitialized the SCPM database and start over (my profiles are few and not too complicated), or 2) hand edit the SCPM database to point to the correct resource files. It's tempting to try /sbin/scpm disable; rm -rf /var/lib/scpm/*/*, and just start over, but I don't want to mess anything up. Phil Feller
