Some menu folders in my KDE desktop are too large and they extend out the screen.
This is a bug. Remove SortOrder= line from the .directory files from your applnk directories.
And what if these lines aren't in the .directory files??
Are you sure you are looking in the /opt/kde/ tree in stead of your local $HOME/.kde tree?
Very sure. Is this also version related?
I don't know. I discovered it in 6.3 after modifying the global K menu as root. After saving the menu, the entries fell of from the bottom of the screen. After some finding/perling/grepping in combination with the original menu's the 'SortOrder=' came out as the offending statement. After removing this line everything was ok again. I emailed this already to the KDE developers and feedback@suse.com but got no response yet... Koos Pol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- S.C.
