Hi,
Running openSUSE 12.3 64Bit KDE and love it.
What is release schedule of openSUSE ? (read somewhere it was 8 months, but not sure)
In the past I've run Kubuntu but I am happy with openSUSE. Thanks!
Jesse
Welcome to openSUSE! A move you will remember for the rest of your life :-) . Just a comment about your move from Kubuntu: one of the things you won't need to worry about is trying to keep up with "the latest" and having to go thru hoops to be able to keep up-to-date. By this I mean that you won't have to wear sackcloth or walk thru hot coals to be able to, say, install the latest kernel or the latest nVidia driver (if you have an nVidia card) because everything you need is readily available and installable. The software manager *YaST2* is the greatest thing since sliced bread - and there, is of course, its CLI companion called *zypper*. The other most important thing is that the degree of technical help available here (and naturally other oS [openSUSE] mail lists) is fabulous. All you need is to ask a question when you are having a problem and you will get the best help that there is available. One thing to be wary of, however, is that there are many personas on these lists and not all of us always "agree" with one another and so there will always be what sound to 'outsiders' - until they get to know us all - that occasionally there are 'nuclear wars' being conducted :-) .
