Thanks for the tip,yes indeed the SuSE`s version of kdebase-2.0.1-0 is a
strange piece.I tried to make it work but it is just too hard and I aint have
time to spent my life over it "it`s beatifull day out there".After
downloading KDE`s version of kdebase-2.0.1-0 for SuSE6.4
and installed it in less than a minute with YAST1 my problems with
customizing desktop and have kde2 remembering changes and not oweriding them
instaed are over.
