The "moved temporarily" occurs because Novell BorderManager could not automatically authenticate the user. Now it redirects the user to page to enter authentication information (user name and password). Putting this user name and password in .wgetrc using proxy_user and proxy_passwd does not help.

Maybe someone knows some way to solve this issue. If not, what are my alternatives for updating the system. I have counted over 200 patches for SLES8, and I don't feel like downloading them one by one, and installing each. You may want to use http rather than ftp.
