if you look in at the shell script in "/sbin/SuSEconfig" you can get more of an ideas of what SuSEconfig does. "YOU" runs SuSEconfig after it downloads packages. So does fou4s, (after I use "kpackage" I do "SuSEconfig". I don't know if Apt-get does ???
I usually run "# SuSEconfig --verbose" and ofter if I downloaded "new stuff capture the output using stdout, i.e. as root: "# SuSEconfig 2>&1 | tee /home/"user-name"/text.txt"
One small correction: the scripts are in /sbin/conf.d. - -- Thibaut Cousin Web : http://www.thibaut-cousin.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/WDKBfBjEv/Ah2egRAp+wAJ4iBxXrBgyBeuLEFvK4JDNd+Xz6PQCglIgm tRYAu18GVdt0T6hqiE+sNc8= =u98I -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
