I recently did a factory update on my 11.1 based x86 system. Since doing so one problem I've been having has been the sysstat package. It's supposed to collect system activity data, but I now get error messages every 6 errors saying, basically, that no data was collected. I tried strac'ing through the frequent collector, and it seems to be writing data to the file, but the file sizes do not grow. It seems to successfully open the files for write, but all the 'collected' files onnly have about 300 bytes in them vs. some much larger amount measured in KB. Maybe it's not seeking or the append mode isn't working for it? Anyone else using this package and tried a recent update of 11.1? Ideas? I 'groan' about the idea of trying to pull the source and try to find out what broke... Ug! std-disclaimer about: factory update should break things like this...blahblahblah... :-) thanks... -linda
