The problem is that several *pertinant* (not easily solved by the regular's on the list) question get overlooked -swept under the rug so to speak. THis is IMO a support tragedy on SuSES end. Any one can answer an easy question.... its the more difficult ones that actually need attending to. That's all I ever was hoping to find! here, here. I've only used linux
since July of last year. I wrote to Andre Hedrik about some problems with
HPT370 chipset in Linux and asked him what distros should I look to - He
said SuSE or UTE. I think Mr. Hedrik as some sort of affiliation with
SuSE - though at the time I just know him as "the ide guy" for Linux. I
still believe that his advice was good advice. I just am frustrated because
I need a little help/direction and instead find my self in the middle of a
flame war.
