Hi,
I've been trying to run C++/Motif program after conneting to a school unix server. Compiling was OK, but when I tried to run it, I got this message,
Error:Can't open display:linux.local:0.0
DISPLAY environment variable is set incorrectly. By default, SuSE assigns machine name linux and domain local which do not resolve to any IP address. The easiest way to solve your problem is to use your IP address in DISPLAY. You can find your IP address in the output of /sbin/ifconfig command (inet addr:). Then before starting your Motif program do: export DISPLAY=<yourIPaddress>:0.0 Regards, -Kastus
