Well there is a /media/cdrom as you know in 8.1. But should it be /dev/cdrom or what do you think/know ?.
Those are two different things. /dev/cdrom is (or should be) a symlink to the device to which your cdrom is attached. /media/cdrom is a directory where your cdrom gets mounted.
Ok.
Can you mount your cdrom so you see the contents in /media/cdrom?
Yes but if I will do it, I have to mount /media/cdrecorder. Should have been /media/cdrecorder. When I use Xcdroast the 2 drives is working ok. Source media in /media/cdrom and target in /media/cdrecorder
If you can, what do you get when you do
grep media/cdrom /etc/fstab
eurit:~ # grep media/cdrom /etc/fstab /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 eurit:~ # grep media/cdrecorder /etc/fstab /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
