Set session management to start with empty session, and see if that helps. It made trouble with konqueror, it can be source of trouble with KNetworkManager.
Hi Rajko, Thanks for the tip, but I already have set session management to start with an empty session, since I could not stop Kmail from starting every time, even if I closed it before exiting KDE. So I'm afraid that can't be the answer. I have found in /var/log/Networkmanager the following lines, which keep repeating: Aug 19 09:42:13 deepthought NetworkManager: <info> Trying to start the supplicant... Aug 19 09:42:13 deepthought NetworkManager: <info> Trying to start the system settings daemon... Aug 19 09:44:13 deepthought NetworkManager: <info> Trying to start the supplicant... Aug 19 09:52:13 deepthought NetworkManager: <info> Trying to start the system settings daemon... Does that shed any light on the situation? Anything else I can check, since I am really starting to miss being able to roam networks like I could in openSUSE 10.3...
