Is the openSUSE supplied squid really too old for your purposes? It seems it would be a lot less work to use that.
yes, my first VPS is centOS, it very old, though openSUSE is better. (current stable serious is 3.5.x, openSUSE is 3.3,13, almost one and half year ago) when I meet some problem, I sent a help email to squid mailist, they told me my squid is too old, and more self-defined configure options is added/changed. so, I write a general-use deploy script, which download and compile newest stable squid when deploy VPS.
As Anton hinted above, please don't top-post, it's a bad habit.
i just know about what is `top-post', thanks. -- Geek, Rubyist, Emacser 程序员中的牛逼运维, 运维中的牛逼程序员。 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
