Hi,
I just installed SuSE 6.4 and the XFree 4.0 binaries on a new laptop. It was a pain in the ass to set up the video chip (neomagic). Finally, it worked.
Now, when I try to login as root using KDM, I don't get KDE but twm. If I start X from the text console as root, I get KDE.
What can I check to see why I'm not getting KDE as root?
Thanks.
I had the same problem and posted it to the list. The answer I got back worked for me. There is no .xsession file in the root directory. Copy one from your user directory into the root directory and it should fix the problem. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
