I believe I have to decide that I have to buy the linux device driver for my LinkSys WMP54G PCI and HP Scanner ScanJet 2400.Please tell me where I can buy it from.
The "driver" for the WMP54G card *should run w/ the network configuration when you plug it in and configure your network ( via YAST2 to run w/ the wireless connection.. IIRC you need to configure your router w/ any browser you like, but be sure you change the password since it is known that linjsys uses the word ADMIN as it's password.. ( or ADMINISTRATOR , it's been a looooong time since I installed a linksys .. ) your router will be your first line of defence so do be sure you change the password.
Linuxant does not support PCI model anymore. When you install linux and later when you add new hardware you will discover that many if not most of the "drivers" are already compiled into the kernal or run as modules after you install new hardware.. you simply need to configure ( w/ YAST, aka YAST2 or yast in general chatter ) configure your device w/ yast I think w/ 10.0 it's first the hardware, and then be sure there is nothing in the software that has changed
;) Also set the wep password.. I can't tell you the number of places where a scan w/ your laptop, for instance, will show a whole lot of open networks and that is NOT a "good thing"
Thank you very much in advance. You are welcome I hope it is of some help to you.
