I have a new Toshiba notebook with SuSE working very well for the most part. But I can't seem to get the power meter in kde to work right, or more generally the apmd system. apm reports "AC on-line, no system battery" regardless of whether the computer is plugged in or not. There is never any indication of state of charge, or even the existence of a battery. I've tried the various combinations of apm and acpi in the kernel startup with no success. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Bernie Gardner bernie.gardner@verizon.net
