So, I can grumble and hate, or simply accept that systemd is here to stay, no matter what; and learn its ways and live happy with it, as much as I can. Instead of refusing and trying to revert all the changes myself, like things going out of bin to usr, accept them. Large initrd? Ok, fine. I leave the distribution to have its own way, mostly, and I only change what I absolutely must, with the minimal of change and effort.
I think if more people had your attitude.........................
If some people spent half as much effort learning how to work with changes as they did crying about it things might just move along smoother.
There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for Poettering & Sievert gratuitiously moving crucial binaries from /bin to /usr/bin (if they needed things in /usr/bin so badly, they should have created symbolic links from /usr/bin/xxx to /bin/xxx rather than moving boot-essential- and maintenance-essential binaries in /usr/bin, and thus forcing /usr to be on / filesystem. Breaking shit JUST FOR THE SAKE OF BREAKING SHIT is *NOT* fucking acceptable. If you disagree, I will gladly demonstrate the concept using a 10 kg sledge on various parts of your house and autombiles, until you do understand the concept. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
