I know of smoothwall is out there an also the susefirewall2 . Just wondering what the others was in the email. I wished I had saved that email not but since I thought I was going to be able to get a firewall device to go on the network I did not save it. What I wanting is more protection from trojan /worms/ spyware an also some filtering/blocking of sites so that my windows users can not go to porno ect sites.
I would recommend using SuSEfirewall2 in combination with squid and dansguardian. We have been using this for over a couple of years and it has worked great. There are no dansguardian rpms for SuSE but it compiles with no problems. If possible, I would also not allow IE to be used (Mozilla instead), but you may not be able to do that one. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
